The RGS Racing Team experienced an exciting and eventful weekend at the fifth of eight races in the ADAC MX Masters Series 2024, held at the ADAC Motorsports complex in Tensfeld. With sunny weather and temperatures nearing 30 degrees Celsius, numerous fans created a fantastic atmosphere, providing enthusiastic support for the team.
MX Master, Samuel Flink: Samuel faced challenges in the qualifying round, which led him to the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). He couldn’t find the right flow and finished 8th, making him the 2nd reserve rider. Despite these challenges, he delivered consistent performances in the two main races on Sunday, finishing 33rd in both.
MX Youngster Cup, Linus Persson: Linus qualified 8th in his group and showed strong performances in the first two races, finishing 14th and 10th, earning a total of 18 points. Unfortunately, in the third race, a crash in the first turn after the start took several riders down, including Linus, preventing him from continuing. He secured 14th place overall.
MX Youngster Cup, Junior Bal: Junior had the previous year’s injury in Tensfeld on his mind, affecting his performance in qualifying, which led him to the LCQ. There, he showcased his talent by winning his class. In the first race on Saturday, he chose an outside starting position and narrowly missed the holeshot, entering the first turn in third place. With an impressive performance, he secured 9th place and 12 championship points. On Sunday, he faced a setback with a race 2 retirement but managed to finish 18th in race 3 despite a less than ideal start, earning three more points. Junior’s overall placement matched his start number, finishing 17th.
The RGS Racing Team extends its gratitude to the ADAC and all organizers for the excellent organization of the weekend. The well-structured paddock areas and the fantastic support from the fans contributed significantly to a successful event. We look forward to applying the experiences gained in the upcoming races and continuing to deliver strong performances.
